We are a Newly Formed Nothe rn Style Drum Group from South Dakota. We are composed of singers who have been singing for many years, and have recently joined to form Standing Horse. We have a unique style which we sing both Strait and Contemp styles. We were all brought up around the drum and learned what it is to be a singer. It is important that we carry ourselves with respect for the drum and others around the drum. We look forward to seeing you on the powwow trail!

the origanal singers have been singing for about 14 years now, we have had some additions, and subtractions to the singing roster over the years, but have endured the test of time. we sing with other drum groups frome time to time but still have the love for wind eagle. we are not a big name drum, but we rep. for our people, and the many native peoples out ther in pow-wow country. we travel to mostly tradisanal pow-wow's beacuse we have new singers all the time. but the older singers sing with other drum groups at contest pow-wowz. which is cool beacuse it gives a visual to the younger singers of how a group is sapposta sound. we are from the meniminee nation, located just north of green bay. we sing our own songs created by the singers, and sing word songs in our menominee language. we give alot of respect to our elders for keeping our language, and tradisions alive so we can rep who we are in a good way.

the origanal singers have been singing for about 14 years now, we have had some additions, and subtractions to the singing roster over the years, but have endured the test of time. we sing with other drum groups frome time to time but still have the love for wind eagle. we are not a big name drum, but we rep. for our people, and the many native peoples out ther in pow-wow country. we travel to mostly tradisanal pow-wow's beacuse we have new singers all the time. but the older singers sing with other drum groups at contest pow-wowz. which is cool beacuse it gives a visual to the younger singers of how a group is sapposta sound. we are from the meniminee nation, located just north of green bay. we sing our own songs created by the singers, and sing word songs in our menominee language. we give alot of respect to our elders for keeping our language, and tradisions alive so we can rep who we are in a good way.

Also we have placed numerous times at Pow wows the most recent one is Southern Ute Casino Pow wow in June 2007, which we took second place. The sad thing is, many time people come up to the group asking for CD's that are for sale. Though we haven't had the luck to get recorded or get contracted with anyone. But with this e-mail we recieved, in hopes that we get positive results. We hope you like the demo that will be submitted.
